At Keller Postman, Marquel has played a pivotal role in the firm’s arbitration practice, with a particular focus on labor and employment matters. Her contributions include developing legal strategy, preparing and writing briefs, filing motions, and preparing for hearings. She has also helped manage litigation of individual client’s claims in arbitration.
In addition to her legal acumen, Marquel has applied her systems-focused mindset to help formalize and establish systems and procedures to represent the firm’s clients.
In addition to working on litigation matters, Marquel leads key operational groups at Keller Postman, including client services and communications, case management and information technology and data.
Honored for her litigation prowess and impact on the firm, American Law Media and The National Law Journal named Marquel to the 2021 Elite Trial Lawyers Rising Stars. She was also named a 2022 Illinois Super Lawyers Rising Star for demonstrating outstanding professional achievement and attaining a high degree of peer recognition.
Before joining Keller Postman, Marquel was an associate at Kirkland & Ellis LLP in Chicago and New York. While there, she represented numerous Fortune 500 companies as trial, appellate, arbitration, and settlement counsel.
Marquel earned her law degree from Northwestern University Pritzker School of Law, where she graduated cum laude. She earned her undergraduate degree with distinction from the University of Chicago, where she also played varsity women’s soccer.
