Before joining Keller Postman, Karla’s experience spanned ten years of e-discovery work on behalf of corporate clients in a variety of civil matters. She has also represented individual clients in various matters including real estate transactions.
Karla is a graduate of University of Illinois Chicago School of Law, where she worked as an office manager for the UIC John Marshall Veterans Legal Support Center & Clinic. As a student, Karla also interned at the Cook County Public Defender’s Office. She earned her undergraduate degree from the University of Illinois.

Karla is licensed to practice law in Illinois only.
"I’m proud to be a plaintiffs’ attorney because I get the opportunity to help people from vulnerable communities, like the community in which I grew up. I grew up in a blue-collar neighborhood where people often became injured at work and didn’t have the knowledge or ability to fight for that to which they were entitled. I am proud to be a part of the team that fights for the rights of these more vulnerable communities. "
